LOOKING TO ADOPT A RESCUE FRENCHIE? Please complete the Adoption Form located in the drop down menu under "HOW TO ADOPT A FRENCHIE". Mouse over the "HOW TO ADOPT A FRENCHIE" then click the tab for the "ADOPT • SURRENDER FORMS". Complete and return the form via email attachment. Due to the popularity of this breed, we have potentially good homes waiting before the Frenchie arrives into our rescue from the previously completed applications on-file. Once the rescue Frenchie has arrived, we again review the applications on-file looking for the best possible home environment to match that particular Frenchie's needs and personality.
The chosen applicant(s) will be contacted to discuss the next step in the adoption process. We generally place all our rescues in or very near the state of Nevada. Kira came to us from a home where she couldn't be kept anymore. She was fed a cheap, can dog food diet and has allergies very bad. Her eyes were almost swollen shut. Kira is 3 years old with terrible allergies.
Kira went to the to the vet today and she has started medications and of course we are changing her diet. We have an appointment with the eye vet on Friday to see what the status of her eye condition is. She is so thin and seems so tired. I'm sure she feels terrible. We'll do everything we can to get her back to the beautiful little Frenchie girl she really is.
OCTOBER 22, 2014 UPDATE: Her face is much better, not as puffy and her eyes are open normally. She has gained a couple of pounds and she is very playful now. Don't know how long it will take to completely clear up her face and the fur to grow back. She has an appointment with a dermatology vet here on Nov 7th, 2014. We'll see what he thinks. We are going to spay her next week. Kira already has many admirers and she has someone flying out to Reno this weekend just to visit her because she is very interested in adopting this cute lil girl.
All your donations to our rescue help provide medical care for these Frenchies in need.
